Sunshine Beach Eateries and Lifestyle
Restaurants in Duke Street include the Coconut Grove Bar and Bistro with its casual, sophisticated “plantation” feel, specialising in Australian and seafood cuisine.
For authentic Italian Food and friendly service you can visit Fratellinis, a fully licensed Ristorante Italiano open 7 days a week for breakfast through to a late close (and open 364 days a year).
And for over 5 years the Marble Bar has been one of the Sunshine Coasts hidden secrets – check it out for yourself. Displaying funky coastal village charm, the Marble Bar is the ideal place to catch up with friends over a drink or a great meal.
Sunshine Beach Surf Club
A short stroll across the road from Duke St you will find the Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club which is a volunteer run community organisation dedicated to protect members of the public who surf and swim in the patrolled area of Sunshine Beach, which has one of the best surfing breaks in Queensland – so bring your board for a magic experience. And the club is licensed and open 7 days a week with an award winning restaurant, bar, function rooms and an ocean deck with great views where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal along with compatible quality wine or cooling ale all prepared by an award winning chef using fresh ingredients and local produce. A great place to meet up after a day of surfing for a cool drink and to enjoy great company.
The surf beach close to the Surf Club is patrolled all year round for your safety whilst there are kilometres of unpatrolled beach, parts of which are dog friendly, for you to launch your surfboard and ride the breaks for which Sunshine Beach is renowned.
Nothing to do unless you want to!
Just a 5 minute drive down David Low Way are more great beaches - Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach and Marcus Beach. Another 5 minutes south is Peregian Beach with its selection of shops and restaurants, a licensed Surf Life Saving Club and patrolled beach.
The holiday lifestyle in Sunshine Beach revolves around one thing – complete relaxation!
Stretch out on the golden sand and read your favourite book, jog along the kilometres of unspoilt beach (with or without your favourite pooch), have an endless and uncrowded surfing session on one of the variety of banks on the wide open coastline, stretch your legs by venturing along the numerous walking tracks in the nearby Noosa National Park or simply order your favourite coffee and hanker down for the afternoon at a local beach bar – the choice is yours!
And all of this is still only a short drive from Noosa Heads!
